The Best Skincare Resolutions To Make In 2020

by Sophia Goldberg |

New year’s resolutions are famous for being nearly impossible to uphold, but they can also be a great opportunity to push yourself to try new things. Since skincare is a part of self-care, we’ve come up with a few very simple, even enjoyable resolutions you can set for yourself so that you’ll be sure to make your goals happen and see real skincare results.

Resolution 1: To moisturize every day

Even for the most dedicated skincare lover, sometimes life can get in the way of doing your entire 12 step skincare routine. If you were to have 30 seconds in the mornings to do something for yourself, promise that you’ll use it to apply your favorite moisturizer (like the Power Lift or Face Lift Moisturizers) before you run out the door. We also recommend tacking on an SPF to that quick fix, because one can never use enough SPF.

Resolution 2: To always wash my makeup off

Leaving your makeup on your skin overnight seems like such a small problem, but it can lead to a whole host of skin issues that have a lasting effect. Keep a package of wipes (like our HydroActive Cleansing Cloths) by the side of your bed to make sure that no matter how tired you get, you’ll still be able to cleanse the pollutants and makeup from your skin.

Resolution 3: To treat my dark spots and fine lines

This one is a bit obvious, but making a commitment to correcting your top skincare concerns will help you take those necessary steps and see real changes in your skin. If, for example, you’re hoping to reduce your dark spots and improve your skin’s elasticity, you could try incorporating our Firma-Bright 20% Vitamin C Booster into your regular daily moisturizer to start taking strides toward your goal.

Resolution 4: To get facials more often

This resolution only needs to happen once every 4-5 weeks, but it involves both self-care and self-improvement. Aestheticians can go beyond home-care with their knowledge of skincare, so getting a regular facial can show serious improvements to skin. Check out our spa locator to find an esthetician near you.
