Web Developer

We are looking for a Shopify Plus Developer to join our team. Our ideal Web Developer will be a team player, working at the intersection of commerce technology and customer experience enhancements. This candidate is expected to have architecture experience as well as hands on development experience. Candidates should have a flexible approach to problem solving and take technical ownership for the various websites in the HydroPeptide portfolio. This person will work collaboratively with Creative, Product Development, and Digital Marketing to bring our brand to life through digital experiences.
What You Will Love Doing:
Inventory Management
- Lead the ecommerce team on new development projects, from initial concept to discovery phase, through implementation and deployment of completed project
- While adhering to best practices, maintain and enhance existing Shopify Plus instances for the HydroPeptide brand
- Lead requirements gathering, working with cross functional partners to understand ideal results
- Create technical design documentation
- Working cross departmentally with Finance, Sales, and Marketing to ensure inventory levels support all needs while staying within inventory scope.
- Accept technical ownership for HydroPeptide.com, .ca, Pro Club and Wholesale websites
- Manage and prioritize multiple projects with varying degrees of complexity and business priority
- In collaboration with the business team, develop and own the Product Roadmap to ensure goals are met
- Dive deep into current site structure and templates. Audit for best practices and identify performance opportunities
- Lead technical re-launch efforts for HydroPeptide.com
Assortment Strategy
- Executing a seasonal merchandise strategy based on customer needs, product performance, industry trends, and business analytics.
- Driving new customer acquisition by taking ownership of the gift set assortment and mapping out compelling seasonal kits to drive sales.
Product Marketing
- Curating competitive research by visiting spas and scouring competitors’ websites, and then assembling and analyzing information to convey knowledge of competition and how it impacts business.
- Analyzing various suppliers to ensure the company is receiving the best cost-effective deals on existing components.
- Assisting in component sourcing and mood board development for all new product launches.
- 3-5 years’ experience working in Shopify
- Web development experience with Shopify Liquid Template language and Shopify API’s
- Working knowledge in Shopify custom app development
- Awareness of marketing events, discounts, gift cards and their configurations in Shopify
- Familiar with SEO/SEM best practices
- Solid knowledge of performance improvement best practices
- Strategic thinker with player/coach mentality
- Curious, willing to learn, desire to grow
- Obsessed over the customer experience
- Strong bias for action; rolls up their sleeves to get the job done
- Interest in beauty and skincare a plus, not required

As the Senior Manager of Ecommerce, you will lead the company’s digital strategy across our global platforms, overseeing ecommerce partnerships and managing direct to customer relationships. This is a strategic role, and we are seeking a qualified candidate who has an analytical background, is an expert at building relationships, and has strong project management skills. In this position, you will be responsible for partnering with the CMO to build and execute a strategic growth plan to ensure a best-in-class online brand experience while achieving revenue, profitability and expansion goals. This role will also uncover and package actionable insights and constantly iterate and optimize to grow revenue and increase onsite conversion.
What You Will Love Doing:
Commercialization
- Oversee go-to-market plans for HydroPeptide.com and partner .com sites, leveraging best-in-class customer launch strategies for key eCommerce/retail partners
- Build and maintain internal activation calendar, product assortment recommendations and cross selling opportunities
- Drive the execution of ecommerce activations, partnering with creative, brand and marketing
- Build and manage sales forecasts by channel. Partner with analyst to track weekly performance
- Collaborate with Product Development to brainstorm and develop .com exclusive products, bundles and kits
- Partner with Supply Chain to ensure forecasts are in line with go to market plans and financial forecasts
- Drive online revenue growth in partnership with Acquisition and Retention teams; identify strategies that will drive short term and long term growth
- Leverage data to understand who our HP.com customer is and develop strategies to increase conversion
Site
- Lead the development of the overall eCommerce experience roadmap, ensuring alignment to company objectives and strategy
- Own the prioritization, planning, and ultimate implementation of the features, functionality, and capabilities needed to support the roadmap
- Understand the customer journey and oversee the design and infrastructure of the website, working closely with our developer and web producer to create a frictionless experience
- Strategize and implement new site experiences
- Maximize online conversion by developing effective customer journeys, multi-device strategies and optimizing site performance
- In partnership with Analyst, create and build tracking and conversion funnels and focus on improving business metrics to optimize the CX and enhance conversion
- Manage site merchandising and new product launches on .com with support from Web Producer
- Implement, launch and test new website functionality
- Drive content strategy with SEO in mind, in effort to grow organic rankings
Strategy and Leadership
- Play a strategic role as a proactive subject matter expert to the leadership team on technology and investment required to support customer experience
- Passionate about data-driven decision making, with a strong commercial instinct and obsession with the customer experience, informing creative, brand and site decisions
- Ability to lead both directly and indirectly with oversight of direct reports and external partners and agencies including a web producer, developer and UX designer
- Partner with teammates to brainstorm white space opportunities and channel execution
- Launch new international markets and .com partners
- 5-7 years’ experience in ecommerce, with hands on experience in Shopify
- Curious, willing to learn, desire to grow
- Experience with .com partners desired (Amazon, THG, etc.)
- Results-oriented with a track record of meeting goals and objectives while balancing tradeoffs
- Data driven and analytical; able to take data and create action plans, resulting in successful tactics
- Highly motivated self-starter with entrepreneurial mindset
- Obsessed over the customer experience (Both DTC and B2B) and passionate about increasing customer lifetime value
- Strong bias for action with ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Team player, ability to serve as player/coach when needed and roll up sleeves to get the job done
