What was the path that led you into the spa industry?
It was an easy transition from healthcare. I truly enjoy the science behind skincare!

Being on the front lines of trends and innovation in the industry.
What makes a great aesthetician?
Truly understanding skincare. Educating myself and my clients on the benefits of ingredients in skincare and helping them make the right decision for their skin type and skin concerns.
What is your personal philosophy?
Keep it simple but effective.
What is your favorite treatment to perform? To receive?

What are two things about you that most people don’t know?
I was an X-Ray tech for 30 yrs and worked in a hospital and I LOVE to dance!

Young people taking skincare more seriously. The millennial generation is becoming very savvy in skincare and trends.

How do you approach recommending home care to a client?
We always ask what they are currently using, and then ask them if they think it’s effective? Pending on their reply… I make recommendations.
What areas of skincare do you think are the most neglected?
Ears for sure. They get sunburnt, blackheads develop there. Whatever you do on our face, you should do for your ears i.e. wash + SPF.
If you could work in any other profession in the world, what would it be?
The fashion industry for sure!
What is your skincare pet peeve?
People buying products based on the price rather than quality and what’s right for their skin.
